My Laptop: How many bits is my operating system? 32-bit or 64-bit?

OPEN LAPTOP: IDENTIFY SYSTEM: ENTER COMMAND
  • click Windows key on keyboard (bottom left) or
  • use mouse to click on "Start" menu (bottom left of TV/monitor/computer screen)
  • type in search box "cmd.exe" (popup box appears: black in color with frame) Name of Computer, 32 or 64 bit system identifies, and Operating system version displays on top row
